MLK ART CONTEST at Central Green Park

To enter and learn more about our art competition for Martin Luther King Day, please SEE BELOW AND SUBMIT FORM. Prizes from our many LaCenterra Partner Shops and Restuarants. It is FREE to enter.

After submitting the form below and emailing a photo, please drop off the final artworks at Perry’s Steak House at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. For late entries, please deliver Friday between 7 and 9, Saturday between 12 and 3 or Sunday by 12 PM to Central Green Park. Minimum of ONE per student.

CONTEST RULES: It is free to enter. To DONATE to our museum, please click HERE. Judging by museum artists and curators.

ABOUT:

BE INSPIRED BY DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. AND HIS LIFE. USE THIS INSPIRATION TO CREATE AN ORIGINAL WORK OF ART FOR OUR CONTEST.

  1. Must be between 5 and 18 yrs old to enter.

  2. Must be created by the student.

  3. Must be an original.

  4. Must be 11” by 14” or less. May be drawing, photograph, painting, collage, mixed media, sculpture that can hang. Must weigh less than 1 lb.

  5. Must be placed over black poster board or black contruction paper with a 2” border to help frame the image.

  6. Along with this submission form, please email a photo of the artwork to: director@artmuseumtx.org and use MLK and the student’s name on the subject line.

  7. Student must reside within the Katy area, tri-county area of Harris, Waller and Ft. Bend Counties.

  8. Minimum of ONE (1) entry per student.

  9. Drop off artwork at Perry’s Steak House, LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. For late entries, please deliver Friday between 7 and 9, Saturday between 12 and 3 or Sunday by 12 PM to Central Green Park. .

HeART of Hope Art Gala 2021 benefiting Hope Impacts

Join us for the first annual Heart for Hope Art Gala at Art Museum TX in La Centerra! Click here for tickets. Benefits Hope Impacts.

Enjoy art, wine tastings, appetizers from Rouxpour, art installations, live artists, music from the fabulous Gabe Montoya, instgram walls and more! This is a family friendly event, but due to the artworks, children will need to be accompanied at all times. we will be set up in the parking lot in front of Art Museum TX across from Alamo drafthouse. The theme this year is pop art focusing on the images from Andy Warhol.

Rain or shine, no refunds. If needed, we will move indoors if needed.
