Ana Villaronga-Roman, Museum Director | Curator

Ana Villaronga has 30 years in the Houston area art world. She is the Founder, Museum Director and Curator of Art Museum TX, the founder of the Katy Contemporary Arts Museum (KCAM) and CAM Fort Bend. She is the owner of Curator Simple and Culture Fix Houston. Ana also served on the board of directors of ARTreach, has been called to advise the Center for Houston’s Future on arts and culture in the suburbs, is a member of Texas Women for the Arts and The Association of Art Museum Curators. Villaronga pushed to stretch the photography biennial, FotoFest International in Houston, to include Katy and Fort Bend. Ana also sought the partnership with Latino Art Now!, a national platform associated with the Smithsonian and Inter University Center for Latino Studies, to help raise awareness of Hispanic artists in our geographical area.

With more than 12 years of experience, she provides creative marketing tactics, advertising, design, business development, project management, and professional event production services.

In addition to having an artistic eye, Vanessa exercises her creative muscles in the visual arts - graphic design, painting, drawing, and wood or glass crafts. Vanessa infuses a wealth of innovative knowledge and expertise into every creative endeavor.

KK Grether, Artist in Residence| Film & Art History Instructor

KK Grether is an Interdisciplinary Artist and thinker with a keen focus on how art, narrative, and myth inform daily life. KK’s roots in the Katy area run deep, as an active scouter KK achieved multiple accolades including the Katy VFW Post Scout of the Year Award, a Venturing Silver Leadership Award, and countless others.

KK is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. During his time at Sarah Lawerence, he was a recipient of the Margret V Noone Scholarship for excellence in the Fine Arts. In addition he was a member of Sarah Lawrence’s neo-futurist, interdisciplinary, performing arts troupe Midnight Cabaret.

After graduating, KK returned to the Houston area to continue working on his own body of work as well as uplifting other artists and promoting Visual Literacy in the Houston Area. Locally, his work has been featured by University of Houston Downtown. His critical writing had been featured in the Houston Review.

Andres Bardon,

Art History Lecturer

Andres has more than 25 years of experience in the Latin American and the international art world. He was the Founder and Director of Arteclasica Contemporanea, one of the major art fairs in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For more than 15 years, he also promoted and represented emerging and recognized Argentine artists worldwide both in art galleries and art fairs. He was the Founder and Director of Museum magazine in Argentina and has published several art books in that country. Since 2012, Andres lives in the Houston area and has been the Director of Special Projects and Latin American representative for the Houston Fine Art Fair (HFAF). Now, he is the Owner and Creative Director of Art About. Andres also gives classes and seminars about Aesthetics and Art History.

Debi Beauregard, Course Facilitator | Museum Photographer

Debi Beauregard is a professional photographer who has resided in Katy for 25 years. Besides formerly working for Katy Magazine, absolutely! Katy Magazine and The Katy News, she also has many corporate clients including the Katy Chamber of Commerce, The American Heart Association, Occidental Petroleum and Schlumberger. Her specialty is events, but she also does corporate headshots, family portraits and wild life photography. Her works have been exhibited at the Katy Contemporary Arts Museum, Sugar Land Regional Airport and the George Memorial Library. She has ten years experience teaching photography. Debi is also a host for African photo safaris with Brambleberry Photo Tours.

Keisha Farmer, Artist in Residence | Course Facilitator

Keisha is a certified art educator who has taught grades K-12 and AP Studio Art for over 15 years. In this position, she has also participated in curriculum and objective writing for the Baltimore City Public School district. In 2012, she was recognized by the Maryland Art Education Association for outstanding service in secondary education. She is a master artist who has prepared high school seniors for the successful scoring of level 3 on AP Studio Art Exams.  Keisha currently resides in Fort Bend County, where she is the artist-in-residence at Art Musuem TX.

Gabriela Gotay, PR Director | En Español

Gabriela is a writer, editor, and creative collaborator. She has a background in management, education, literature, and creative writing. For three years she was the editor and featured reporter for The Hound Magazine, a digital publication that seeks, exposes, and promotes emergent artists and makers from a plethora of interests and fields. As an advocate of bilingual education, she has written a series of bilingual books for young readers. She shares her passion for creative self-expression in her blog, The Creative Confidential. In 2021 Gabriela relocated to Katy TX and wanted to join a project with a lasting cultural impact for the community. As our PR Director | En Español, she is excited to help us spread the word to our growing Spanish-speaking community, art lovers, and artists alike, and bring them together online and in our diverse, inclusive, and thriving spaces.

Motoko Yasue, Artist in Residence | Office Manager

Motoko (Moto) is a Houston-based visual artist working in a variety of artistic processes both in two-dimensional and three-dimensional art forms receiving honors and recognition locally and on an international level. She is originally from Japan where she earned a sociology degree from the prestigious Sophia University followed by her career involving project management and design for the new products in a global French financial company in Tokyo. She received an MFA in studio art at Houston Baptist University (HBU) in 2021 after her teaching certificate in painting at Glassell School of Art - Fine Arts Museum Houston, and an AA in studio art at Houston Community College.

Her oil paintings are in a permanent collection at a NYC based non-profit art organization, Ground Zero 360, as well as at the HBU Fine Art Museum. She worked as a museum assistant while completing her graduate school and coordinated their gallery exhibitions and public promotion and marketing. In private life, she has been a member of the Watercolor Art Society Houston, besides having volunteered teaching watercolor classes at the Women’s Home in Houston.

Her art embraces a deep understanding of fine arts. Motoko’s unique approach to her painting synchronizes with her 3-D works. She combines conventional mediums with non-traditional techniques. Her art theme, “space - time continuum”, with an oculus motif fascinates viewers with the mystic, spiritual imaginary world wherein the eastern world collides with western cultures.
